Will Moriaty

William Moriaty, a native of Tampa, Florida, was a Founder and President of the non-profit Tampa Bay Reforestation and Environmental Effort, Inc. (TREE) organization, from 1983 to 2023. Under his leadership, TREE planted over 31,000 trees in 638 projects.
Moriaty was a Vegetation Management Coordinator for the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) 7th District from 1993 to 2016. He was an Associate Member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and currently holds Landscape Technician and Horticulture Professional Certifications with the FNGLA, as well as an Advanced Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) Certification with the FDOT. Moriaty authored “Landscape Design Guidelines for the I-75 Bypass” in 1988, and “William Moriaty's FLORIDA” in 2005. Moriaty was also an uncredited inker for the King Features comic strip “Blondie” from 1983 to 2001. Moriaty currently resides in Plant City, Florida with his two cats Puck and Jasmine.
