Join TakeMAR and Jabil as we plant 1,000 Longleaf Pine trees at Lower Green Swamp Nature Preserve! We will also be planting 485 native shrubs, wildflowers and ground cover plants.
This will be a large planting effort with around 150+ volunteers to help accomplish the mission.
Moderate to heavy lifting will be needed by volunteers to transport the plants to their appropriate area. We ask that anyone aged 14 and under be accompanied at all times by an adult or guardian, 18 years of age or older.
Volunteers will be driven into the preserve from the parking area by County vehicles, as it is not an area quickly accessible by foot. The volunteers will meet at the ranger station the morning of for transport.
Volunteers are encouraged to enjoy the 10,000 acre preserve post event and connect with the environment we are helping to restore!
Close toed shoes are required. All necessary planting materials will be provided on site.
This is a wild nature preserve, so we ask all volunteers to be as cautious as possible during the project.
