Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Avery moved to Florida in 2020 and was instantly captivated by the state’s natural beauty. She is passionate about the power of connecting people to nature as a catalyst for positive change, and believes that fostering a deeper appreciation for the environment inspires collective action for a more sustainable future.

With a background in non-profit marketing, Avery is dedicated to digital storytelling that bridges organizations with their communities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies from Smith College, as well as a Master of Theological Studies in Philosophy of Religion from Harvard University.

In her personal time, Avery enjoys exploring Florida’s outdoors — paddleboarding and kayaking in the springs, swimming in the ocean, and hiking scenic trails.
